Canvas Teacher Release Notes (Android 1.38)

Canvas Android app version updates are distributed in a phased rollout, which distributes the update to all users over time. The features in these notes may not immediately be available as an update in the Play Store. The Canvas Teacher Android App requires Android 8.0 or later.

Teacher App Updates

• Inbox signature is included in messages when the feature flag is enabled.
• The recipient picker search considers the selected role for more accurate results.
• Favorite courses are displayed first when composing a new message.
• Unread message count badge updates correctly for improved tracking.
• Edit and delete options are available in the files list for better file control.
• Course and assignment names are displayed for better context in SpeedGrader.
• Accessibility, performance, and stability improvements.
