how does one enable attendance as a system admin:

The documents state the following : 

Note: The Attendance tool must be enabled by your Canvas admin before it can be used in your course. If you cannot see the Attendance link in Course Navigation, please contact your administrator.

How does one take attendance without Roll Call? It's not installed on my course page for my university and I don't have sys admin access.

Hi @CorinnaKirsch ...

Have you reached out to the folks at Pratt who are in charge of your school's Canvas environment?  For example, you might want to talk with Pratt's local Canvas administrator or someone from Pratt's Online Learning/eLearning department to see if they would be willing to turn on the Roll Call/Attendance tool for you and your colleagues.  They may have reasons for keeping it turned off...but that would be a conversation that you'd need to have with your folks at your school.  Maybe they can give you some additional insights on how you can take attendance for your course(s).
