Why are some of the courses showing up on the calendar and others are not and are greyed out on the right side column?

Hi,  @amyhealeygraham  Welcome to the Canvas Community! As depicted in the View Calendar List section of How do I use the Calendar as a student? , "Calendars that are not active within the calendar view display as faded text." Clicking the checkbox to enable a course in the calendar "bolds" the course title.
