I want to assign the modules in full to mastery paths so students can select what they want topic they want to do first but then lock the others.
so in the diagram below for example each module will have information, a quiz and an assignment.
the student selects to study birds first
once completed the student can select from the remaining modules
and as they go on they get locked out of modules they have already done until all topics are completed.
Hello,
This is not a current feature of mastery paths and would be awesome if it were. Depending on how many items are in the module, you could do this within a single mastery path. The quiz to choose just has to be setup with questions of various point value and cleverly designed so depending on what they want, the choice equals different point value.
Here is an example -
I would check the Ideas board and vote up if there and post if not - Idea Conversations
Cheers,
Chad Scott
I'll look into your suggestion; the issue is I want to set out an entire self-paced course for students who can not attend their class (which includes no blue button)
You will want to look over this guide for a breakdown of each item for mastery paths https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Instructor-Guide/How-do-I-use-MasteryPaths-in-course-modules/ta-p... as the other poster mentioned the specific thing you are trying to do isn't a feature but checking the ideas page is a good step in this case.
