Canvas and Mastery are experiencing issues due to an ongoing AWS incident. Follow the status at AWS Health Dashboard and Instructure Status Page
I cannot "unfavorite" any of my unpublished classes...from 2018/'19. I would like to remove them. It only allows me to move them up/down/left/right...totally different than my coworker's screen options. How do I fix this?
did you ever figure out how to solve this problem? I'm having the same issue.
@robert_radcliff and @RenzoRaines …
Have you tried going to your “Courses” >> “All Courses” screen in Canvas to un-favorite your courses? On your “All Courses” screen, you would see a star next to each course name, and you could try to remove the star (un-favorite) next to each course name that you do not want to show up on your Canvas Dashboard.
Give that a try, and let Community members know if that works for you.
When you navigate to your “Courses” >> “All Courses” screen in Canvas, hover your mouse over one of the yellow stars that you are trying to remove (un-favorite). Do you get any kind of helpful tooltip (pop-up) that tells you one way or another if you are able to remove that yellow star or not? If so, what does that tooltip say?
Interesting! Here’s something else to try…. After you have removed the yellow star from next to a course in the “All Courses” screen (even though the course still appears to show on your Dashboard), try clearing your browser history/cache:
Once you have done this, close out of your browser completely. Then, re-start your browser to see if the courses appear on your Canvas Dashboard.
It might also be interesting to know if you are getting the same behavior using a different browser…such as an up-to-date version of Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.
What are the browser and computer requirements for Instructure products?
Hope this will help!
Happy to help. Beyond this, I think it would be best for you to reach out to Canvas Support. They may have some other suggestions for you to try:
