[ARCHIVED] Delivering quiz questions one-at-a-time and Firefox memory issue

Has anybody else encountered an issue re: Firefox eating system memory when Canvas quiz questions are delivered one at a time instead of all at once? Our Windows 7 workstations (4 gig memory) eventually bog down and Firefox needs to be exited and re-launched. In Firefox we've monitored how the issue progresses by viewing about:performance, but unfortunately the tools for freeing memory under about:memory don't seem to have any effect.

I have a memory monitor on my mac (32GB of RAM) and Firefox will absolutely eat the memory alive as I start opening more tabs or using Canvas.  Anywhere from 4-8GB or RAM depending on what I am doing.  With the newest version of Firefox I have to force quit it eventually and restart it.  My MAC is basically brand new as well.  There is definitely a memory issue with FF.
