Hello, 

I am trying to have students post discussions, but do not want any of the students in the case to be able to see each others posts. Is this possible at all?

Hello Cam,

So you want to have a discussion that only the student and you can participate in?

One thing you could do is put each student in their own group and then create a group discussion based on those groups. Each student would then have their own version of the discussion that you could interact with as well.

Thanks for the help. The only thing with that is I have over 100 students in my class, so that would be very difficult. Is there any other ways?

This is the only way I can think of to create a discussion that prevents students from seeing each other's posts. If you're worried about creating that many groups you can set Canvas to automatically create and assign students to groups by following this guide: How do I automatically create groups in a group set?
