[ARCHIVED] Google Doc Submission - Footnotes

I had my students use Google Docs for a writing assignment in which they created Footnotes. However, when they uploaded the Doc, the footnotes are gone. Is there a setting / upload step needed to take in order for the footnotes to be included with the upload?

Interesting, this is a challenge. I've asked around and it has stumped a few people.

Perhaps it's best to ask Canvas Support. Or your Canvas support crew Administration / Educational Technology

I just ran a test where I created my document as a google doc and then went to file>download as docx> and then uploaded it to an assignment and it retained the footnote perfectly.
