Gradebook converting points to percent

In the old gradebook, I could enter points and Canvas would convert them for me to percentage even though I have it set to percent.  (IPreviously, if a quiz had 15 points, and a student scored 13, I could enter 13 and Canvas would convert it to 86.66%, for example).  It seems to have lost this capability - is that true?

I just tested this and this is not behaving as it use to in the old grade book or how this guide How do I add or edit details in an assignment? states it should:

Note: The grading type is how the assignment score will display in the Gradebook. For example, an assignment worth 10 points is set to display as a percentage. A student who receives 8/10 points on the assignment will show as 80 in the Gradebook.

I have opened a ticket with support with a screen cast and I would recommend that you do the same.  This can be done from Help > Report a Problem from within the course.
