How do I create a submit work button on my assignments, so that my students know how to upload their work?

I know that I am supposed to have a blue submit work button, but it is not there and I am being flooded with confused emails on what to do. I have tried everything I know to do and I can't find an answer.

Hello,  @cjewett  Welcome to the Canvas Community! First, double-check to make sure that your assignment is set to accommodate online submission, as detailed in How do I create an online assignment?  and that the assignment is published. Students will then see a "Submit Assignment" button at the upper right of the page, as depicted in How do I submit an online assignment?
