How do I leave the class once the course is finished?

I am assuming that you are a student.  I do not believe that you can leave a class.  You will have to wait for the school or teacher to end the student participation time.

Or, you can just remove it from your dashboard by going to the all courses list and click on the star next to the name.  The course will still be in your list, but it will not show on the dashboard.

Similarly to what @bowmanr stated - if you were registered and enrolled for a course through your school or university, they generally will conclude you and remove you themselves. Most enrollments in Canvas are handled directly by the school and you can speak with your admissions or registrar office to become fully removed. By default, Canvas will keep past enrollments and then move them to your past enrollments section but you can customize your dashboard to remove them yourself if they are still on your main dashboard. 

The exception to this would be if you self-signed up for a course. If this is the case, you can remove yourself by following this guide. If you do not see this option, then you signed up via conventional means through the school and admissions can work with you to remove you directly.
