It appears that your former instructor had the course set up as a continuing course. You have two options:
- reach out to your former instructor and let them know, perhaps they could conclude the course
- go to Courses on the left hand global navigation, then click on All Courses. Then fill in the star to the left of each course title that you would like to appear on your Dashboard. The old course will disappear from your Dashboard but will still be in your courses list if you ever need it. https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-10588-4212717404
