[ARCHIVED] Individual account and school now signing up

I opened an account as an individual teacher.  My school has now decided to sign up to Canvas as an institution.  I have already put some content on Canvas.  Will this material be wiped clean or can I continue adding material so that this will be integrated when the student data is also added?

Hi Stuart,

I assume you signed up for Canvas Free for Teachers, in which case, you can migrate your content over. If you have a look through this guide How do I export a Canvas course?  it will give you the details on how to complete the export then you can use this complimentary guide https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-12783-415241324  to bring the course into your School's new environment once it is all set up.

I would note, that no student detail will come across in the transfer (if there is any) this is purely to migrate the content aspects of the course.
