[ARCHIVED] Is there a way to recover an assignment I accidentally deleted?

I accidentally deleted an assessment that I'm more proud of than others I've made, and it was accidentally deleted because the trackpad on my school-issued laptop is overly sensitive to put it nicely.

Any help would be welcome. I am so upset right now that I lost what I put a considerable amount of time effort and thought into.

Hi  @vargak  and welcome to the Community!  If you haven't attempted already, I would try the "undelete" feature (see Undeleting things in Canvas particularly step 3).  I have used this in the past to recover deleted assignments.  If this doesn't work let us know an we can see about another option!

So my follow up question would be now that I've successfully recovered that assessment, I cannot retrieve the students' original grades for that assessment? I'm just assuming the worst.

Hello again  @vargak   If undelete works, then grades and submissions should return as well.  If they don't you might try steps 2 and 3 that  @kona  explains in this post, Recovering Deleted Grades.  

In the past I have been able to get the grades back as well with undelete so hopefully you have the same experience!
