Is there a way you can delete your canvas email?

I have hundreds of emails and I want to delete them for the new school year so there not in the way.

Hi!

From the inbox, if you click the first item (check the box), you can use the shortcut CTRL+A or Command+A and it will then select all of the messages. You can then archive them in batches, rather than individually! 

These options are to the right of the inbox.

I would like to just delete all of my inbox. But when I try checking the first box and then control A, it highlights everything but won't delete it. Any suggestions?
