Hi, What is the canvas transition out process? What format does Canvas give back our courses and student completions in so it can be migrated into another LMS? Is there an easy way or will it need to be done manually? Thanks.

Hi R K,

You can export Canvas courses into an IMSCC file which is a universal format accepted by many Learning Management Systems, there is a guide on how to do this with some of the things you must know at How do I export a Canvas course? 

I would also let you know that no two LMSs are alike, so sometimes you may find not 100% of the content has a direct mapping between the LMS where a common cartridge was exported from and the one you are importing it to.
