[ARCHIVED] Making File Folder available to students

I am having trouble allowing students to see the files i have uploaded to the file folder. Currently they do not have access to this. How do i fix this?

Welcome to the Canvas Community!!!

There are a number of ways to share uploaded files with your students.  You can create Modules and add them to the Modules, you can create a page and link them to the page or you can simply let the students use the Files tool in the course to search for files (not really recommended when it comes to proper course design).

Hi,  @tbpatric ‌, I completely agree with Robbie that allowing students to use the Files tool is not the best approach (at least in my experience, Modules allow for much better organization and delivery of resources). However, if you decide you need students to access course files, make sure you have enabled the Files link in the course navigation (How do I manage Course Navigation links?)
