[ARCHIVED] Moderate the Quiz - Manual Unlock option

I am curious how the "manual unlock" option works when choosing to Moderate the Quiz.  I am wanting to give a student an extra attempt on a quiz.  The quiz is proctored and has a password on it so that students cannot take the exam at home.

Question #1:  If I check the box to "Manually unlock the quiz for the next attempt," will the student be able to open the quiz regardless of the password?

Question #2: Is the checkbox to "Manually unlock the quiz" ONLY to allow students to open a non-password protected quiz to open AFTER dates have passed?
