I am a trans student that has changed their name. I haven't started legally changing my name but seeing my deadname on canvas structures induces gender dysphoria.
How can you change your display name?

You may or may not be able to change your name within Canvas...depending on what permissions your school has decided on for students. The Guide that shows how to do this is located at: How do I edit my profile in my user account as a student?. If you are unable to change your name in Canvas, you will need to speak with someone at your school about this request...such as a local Canvas administrator or someone from your school's Online Learning / eLearning department.
