[ARCHIVED] Public course analytics: activity for unenrolled users

Colleagues:

I am looking for methods/strategies for tracking activity for both enrolled and unenrolled user activity in a Public course.

In researching capabilities for New Analytics tool, I found that only enrolled student activity is logged in the tool's activity report. This activity only represents a portion of activity in the course - that of enrolled users.

Are there alternative methods for capturing ALL user activity in a course? We are considering using a customized Google Analytics set up but would prefer to use a solution native to Canvas.

Best,

Logan
