How do I use the Rich Content Editor in New Quizzes?

How do I get the mathquill equation to enter in the text for a quiz or an assignment to be entered 

into the field via LayTex?

I will tell you, from the teacher side, I see the LaTex formula, but when I preview the quiz, the "real" formula (no code) comes up.
