How am I able to remove completed courses from my dashboard?
Solved! Go to Solution.
You have the ability to customize your course list and change what is displayed on the Dashboard:
How do I customize my Courses list as an instructor?

Unless you are actually unenrolled from a Canvas course, or that course is concluded, you will stay in the course indefinitely.

Your answer was fine for instructors, but no help at all for students. When courses are completed, they don't automatically drop off dashboard. Do I have to go hassle each instructor to get them to remove it? Isn't there a way that I can remove the no longer current courses from my dashboard?
@BrookeCannon ...
You can go to your "Courses" >> "All Courses" screen within Canvas and remove the star next to a course name so that it does not show up on your Canvas Dashboard. Removing a course completely (so that it does not show up on the "All Courses" screen or on your Canvas Dashboard) is a whole other question. You will need to have a discussion with Box Elder School District's Canvas administrator or someone from their Online Learning / eLearning / Distance Learning department. They may have specific policies in place on whether or not they would be able to remove courses from your Canvas Dashboard. If you aren't sure who your Canvas administrator is, your instructor might be able to direct you to the right area of your school. You can contact your instructor within Canvas by following the steps in this Guide:

Good luck as you have these conversations at Box Elder. Let Community members know if you have any other questions about this...thanks!
