[ARCHIVED] SIS Grade Sync Slow?

We are experiencing very slow SIS grade synchronization (passback) from what we've seen in years past. My district uses Skyward, and in years past we would initiate a passback and it would be completed within a minute. Now we are seeing grade passback functions that are taking 15 minutes, 20 minutes, or even longer before the changes show up in our SIS. 

Is there anything we can do to increase the time that this is taking?

We sync Canvas to Skyward and were seeing a very slow sync time.  Canvas has a new feature that has the assignment description and grade comments pushing over.  I had to put in a ticket with Canvas to have them turn that feature off.  Their SIS department has to turn it off.
