[ARCHIVED] Sending Messages from Grades

In Grades, there is an option for each assignment to send a message to students who (gives several options). Does this option send an individual, private email to each student that meets the criteria selected? In Inbox, there is a click box to choose that option but I do not see similar click box when sending messages from Grades. Thank you.

Yes, this is a great question. Each student gets an individual and private message when an instructor uses the "Message students who..." functionality of the Gradebook.
