Speedgrader Keyboard Shortcut No Longer Working Properly

Dear  @canvas11  Community,

Several of our instructors have noticed that the Speedgrader keyboard shortcut no longer working properly.

Before when they went into Speedgrader, graded quiz questions one by one, they would type in a score in the grading box and then hit the "enter" key, it would update the score. They then checked if the scores added up correctly and continued grading.

Recently, they have noticed that the "enter" key no longer work, if they enter a score and then click "enter", it will REFRESH the page and the score will not be recorded. 

They have found two ways to work around it:

Enter the grade, click Enter, click in the grade box again, click Enter again;

Enter the grade, click Update Grades at the bottom

It is MUCH faster to just have to enter the grade, click Enter, and move on, which is what we've been doing for a very long time.

This is quite inconvenient. We would like to see if this can be fixed at the backend.

Thanks for finding this behavior for us! The best thing to do here would be to submit a support case, which will alert our Support team and they can let engineering know about it. Include all the information you've posted here as part of that case.

You can learn how to submit a support case by visiting the Help link in your Global Navigation Menu in Canvas and looking for a Report a Problem link. If you don't have that, your institution may have another way of reporting problems with Canvas, in which case you'd go through that process.

I have noticed that even if you can do a workaround as described above to get the enter key to work, sometimes the points are there for the individual problem but the overall grade does not update, which can be bad.

The keyboard shortcuts in SpeedGrader for next, previous, grade (n, j, and g respectively) no longer work in any browser in Windows 10. There is also an accessibility tool along the right side which will can not be quit. I presume it is part of the problem with the keyboard shortcuts no longer working.

Sorry, should have said j,k, and g respectively.
