Turnitin LTI and importing a course

Hi there,

When a Turnitin assignment is setup in Canvas using the LTI tool and then imported (using Canvas course import) into another course it seems that the assignment dates do not carry across to the imported assignment and the Canvas assignment dates are blank. 

I've seen previous posts in the community from 2017 that suggested selecting the option ‘Save these settings for future use’ under optional settings/additional settings in Turnitin prior to importing the course resolves this and the dates are then carried across to the imported assignment. 

Has anyone else been experiencing this recently and if so, been using a different method to carry the dates across to the imported version?

 @j_avneri ‌, for the saved settings to initiate in a copied class, the LTI tool must be set up as shown in Canvas and Turnitin, and then an instructor must access the assignment in Turnitin. All that is necessary is opening the assignment. It takes a few seconds to hit all of the Turnitin assignments at the start of a term. Does that help?

Thanks  @dhulsey ‌ - in this case we have identified the issue - a specific section was selected under 'assign to'  in the Canvas assignment settings, this section didn't exist in the course it was being imported into. We changed 'assign to' to 'everyone' and everything imported correctly.
