[ARCHIVED] Unpublished attachment to email

Hi everyone, 

When I email my students using the function on Canvas and add an attachment, my students report that the document is unpublished so they cannot open it. Is there something I am missing when I upload an attachment? How do I ensure they can access the document?

Hi  @chekroun_julie  Thank You for your question.

This sounds a bit unusual. I'm wondering if the attachment is somehow connected to a part of your course that is not published yet. Might that be the case? 

Otherwise if the attachment is just from your computer it should be fine. 

Check that the attachment is from a published part of your course. Sometimes a page might be published but a module is not.

Also, if the attachment is in your files you might need to check that all copyright and publishing has been attended to there.
