Hello community! New user here. Found my way to Canvas for Free after being dissuaded by Moodle.org self hosting solution. 

Im trying to locate an overview of the features I have access to, the limitations of the account, and what might need upgrading. 

We are a small intl children’s charity and we teach digital literacy to kids around the world. 

Our goal is to have an online school for them. Concerns are how much storage space we have, bandwidth limitations, or outside user limits.

Welcome to the Community.  Glad to have you here.  It sounds like you've started using the "Free For Teachers" (FFT) version of Canvas.  Here are some resources for you which should get you started:

Hi, and welcome to the world of Canvas free accounts! Chris has given you a great set of resources that will get you started. I'd only add that while you posted this in the Admin group hub, Free For Teachers accounts do not come with admin privileges and do not afford any upgrade paths; the next step to get additional features, including the admin role, would be to move to a paid instance. The available roles are Teacher, Student, Observer, and Designer. Course storage limits are outlined in the account comparison document at Canvas Account Comparisons PDF. There are no limits placed on the number of courses that can be created or users that can be enrolled, and any bandwidth limitations are dependent on each user's internet access.

We have a group hub for users of our free accounts where you might be able to get good advice from others who have successfully used Free For Teachers to facilitate learning for small organizations: Free For Teacher Users
