i am not receiving an email to reset my password

You may need to consult your school’s local Canvas administrator or someone from your school’s Online Learning/eLearning department about your password. Depending on how your school has things configured, they may or may not be using a single sign-on process to sign in to your school’s Canvas environment.  This would be something that your school’s Canvas admin could tell you more about.  They may have a tech support contact for you to work with to get your password reset.
