I'm not sure if you realized this or not, but you have posted your question to the global Canvas Community website where people from all over the world come to ask questions, suggest new Feature Ideas, participate in focus groups, collaborate with others, review written and video tutorials, and a whole lot more...all about Canvas. Your question sounds very specific to a course you are taking at your school. Unfortunately, the vast majority of people here in the Community wouldn't be able to answer your question because we do not have access to your school's Canvas environment or your course(s) in question. Please see my above response to @RoseALee.  This is the Canvas Community website...and not a course that you might be taking within the Canvas LMS (Learning Management System) at your school.  Please contact your instructor if you have any questions about a book you are reading for your course...thanks!
