Are you unable to make comments on new activities, or are you unable to contribute additional comments on work you've already visited?

Are you using the Canvas Teacher app on iOS 15? How do your students submit their work? Do they use File Upload or are you using the new Annotations submission type? (This will help us know where/how to test!)

Yes Im using the teacher app and IOS 15 the students are uploading files and doing text entry.

I am also having this problem.  Using my iphone I cannot comment on anything.  It looks like the upload blue icon to the right of the comment box is disabled.  On the left it allows for an attachment or file uploads.  What can I do to rectify this?
