link to module from a page without enabling modules in navigation?

I'm an instructor. I would like my students to navigate my course with pages (not modules), but I'd like each week's page to be able to link to a weekly module so that students will be able to mark work done ( modules as checklists). Is there any way to make modules visible to students who access them via the links without enabling modules in navigation? Many thanks for your help.

Hi @Mod ...

I do not believe this is possible.  If you hide the "Modules" index page (so that the crossed-out eye icon is next to the "Modules" name in your course navigation), and then if you try linking to a module from a page, I *think* your students would be directed back to the course "Home" page...since the "Modules" page would technically be hidden from their view.  You can always try this out in your own course or even in your school's "Test" Canvas environment.  How do I access the Canvas test environment as an instructor?
