Canvas Deploy Notes (2022-02-16)
Canvas deploys contain code changes that are intended to fix bugs, improve performance, and prepare for new features. These deploys take place every two weeks and can be tested in the beta environment before the production deploy date indicated in the title of this document.
Deploy notes indicate notable changes in the deploy by feature. To view functionality according to user role, please see Canvas Features by User Role.

Summary
High contrast course colors have been updated for additional contrast.
Change Benefit
This change improves accessibility and aligns with updated contrast standards.
Feature Workflow
Course calendars are individually indicated by a specific color, assigned by default unless manually changed by the user.
When high contrast styles are enabled in User Settings, all colors in the Calendar display darker with updated contrast.
Users may change their preferred Calendar colors at any time.

Summary
The file selection menu has been updated by Google.
Change Benefit
This change provides an improved interface for selecting files within the Google LTI.
Feature Workflow
When users open a link to the Google LTI external tool resource in the Rich Content Editor, the file menu displays a new interface for selecting content items within Google Drive. No other functionality has been affected.

Summary
In Discussions options, the option to let students edit or delete their own discussion posts has been changed to replies.
Change Benefit
This change aligns consistency with the Settings options in the Discussions page.
Feature Workflow
The expanded options in the Course Settings page allows instructors to manage Discussions options. No functionality has been affected with this terminology update.
