Can't record system audio Mac

Aloha!

I'm trying to use Screencast-O-Matic to record my screen, including the system audio. I can set the options and start the recording, but the moment I try to play any media, I get the warning message that my microphone has stopped working and the recording stops.

I'm on Apple desktop computers. I've tried with an Intel-based iMac Pro, and also a silicon-based Studio. Identical results.

Thank you for posting on the Instructure Community!

I have experienced this same exact issue, and what I ended up having to do was completely delete Screencast-O-Matic from my computer, and then re-download it but then I had to re-pair and reconnect my microphone(s) under the Narration tab on that little menu thing that appears with the record button.

I wonder if this would work for you?
