Canvas plans for supporting LTI 1.3 Platform Notification service and Link and Content service?

In case any of the Canvas product team monitors this group or anyone has seen notice....

LTI 1.3 has a Link and Content Service spec in Candidate Final and a Platform Notification Service spec in development (that another LMS has trialed), both of which would be extremely useful for Canvas to adopt at some point. The former would allow such things as identifying and cleaning up orphan resource links, and the first implementation of the Notification service includes a Course Copy notification (!) that a tool provider like us could use to better handle resource links and line items when copying a course/section or a template/blueprint.

Anyone have any news they can share?

Hi! We have worked on implementing the Platform Notification Service and our first use of it will be for Asset Processor which we're aiming to complete in the first half of the year. We are looking into Course Copy after that, and the Link and Content Service is further out. Unfortunately we don't have a projected timeline on those yet.

Thank you @AlexisNast . That insight is very helpful for planning, and we understand that's not commitment. I'll reiterate that the course copy notification would be super useful for 3rd party apps....

Hi @AlexisNast I hope you are doing well.

We are waiting for the Assets processor service to be implemented in canvas so that we can develop the tool which our clients are waiting for. If there are any updates on when we can expect the service please update us.

Also before all of that we want to try canvas. Please help us to get the "Canvas" Instance. Be it through partnership or something else.
