Handling Canvas logouts / session termination under LTI 1.3

Does Canvas support standard OIDC front- and/or backchannel logout options? or another facility to allow an LTI 1.3 tool to be made aware of and respond to Canvas user session termination?

I've found https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Developers-Group/Recieving-Canvas-logout-events-to-LTI/td-... but am not sure what OAuth signature it refers to (OAuth1 signature? OAuth2 access token?) and have not been able to get any of the things I've tried to work.
