Import my submission comments and DQ posts to Google Sheets?

I like to document my "time/effort" by copying and pasting assignment feedback (not DQ's or quizzes, just normal assignments) as well as DQ posts. I manually transfer (copy/paste) it outside of Canvas to a Google Sheet, but it is quite cumbersome. I am a noob to scripts and API, but OK with GSheets in general and I've used scripts (some from the James  Jones - count DQ posts), but this is above my head. I've given it a go for the past 4 hours and keep going in circles...

TL;DR: How can I use scripts and API to import my Canvas submission comments (just mine to the each student, not the students') for assignments and my own DQ posts from each DQ forum to a Google Sheet?
