Is there a widget for the course activity stream?

"We want to create our own home page, but add Course Stream functionality straight into it, so we don't need to "View Course Stream"."

This is a question that came from my faculty.  The button on the sidebar is not what they want.  I was wondering if there was any code or a widget that would allow them to embed the course activity stream directly into a home page.

 @heidi1 ​, I've seen a widget/box added to the home page for announcements - Re: Create an Announcements Box on your Course Home Page - so I'm guessing there is a possibility of being able to add the course stream in as a widget. Yet, the Canvas users with that type of knowledge are normally hanging out over in the Canvas Developers group. Would it be ok if I moved this question over there so you can get their assistance?

Hi  @heidi1 ,

I am going through having a look at some of the early days in the Canvas Developers group, and checking in to see if older enquiries have been answered. I also noticed there hasn’t been any discussion on this question in quite some time.

I am wondering, were you ever able to resolve this? I am hoping I can assume that it is well and truly resolved by now, but if not, please let us know and we can certainly have another look. Alternatively, if have some insights you may be able to share for others that would be awesome too!
