LTI 1.3 Assignment Selection Placement

Canvas notes that "Grades cannot be applied to editor content; use the assignment_selection placement if grades are desired.” And with the Assignment Selection Placement, there is a limitation that “only one LTI resource can be returned at a time”.
Blackboard and D2L (Brightspace) do not have this limitation and I was wondering if it is on the Canvas roadmap to address it? We are having a hard time convincing people to move to LTI 1.3 in Canvas because of this limitation.
