Dear all,
I would like a Developer key (from Canvas Developer Key Request) but I work at Luleå University of Technology (which is hosted by Instructure) and the page says "If you are a Canvas customer, see your Canvas Admin to issue a developer key in your Canvas instance." So, I asked them and they told me that they didn't want to give me a root-access key. But I don't need that. All I need is the same kind of key that I can generate myself, but one that can be used with OAuth2. Is that possible?
Thanks!
Erik
I'm not sure what you are trying to do, have you read the API documentaiton on how to request an oauth2 token?
Erik,
You might be able to follow the OAuth flow on a per course basis by adding your "App" as an external LTI app to a given course. This should enable you to at least get a user's identity, but I am not sure whether you can request a token.
If you just need a token of your own (with your access) you can create one on your profile page.
