Hi guys!
I've recently started researching into how we can use oAuth to create an external tool for Canvas.
The issue that I'm running into is that every time I refresh the page, the connection/flow is resetting as seen below:
What am I doing wrong?
Solved! Go to Solution.
So I realised I wasn't storing the token like I should be - instead I was creating a new one each time I loaded the page, not efficient at all. I have now rectified it and it works as expected!

Hi Tommy,
I am trying to do the same thing here, but I noticed something when I am sending the request from the self hosting version after I configured the external tool, the request canvas sends is LTI v1.0 while I know that Canvas now compatible with v1.3.
Do you have any idea about it or a useful documentation can guide me through this ?
Hey Mahmoud,
Sorry for getting back so late, have only just seen this one 😕
Unfortunately I'm unsure what to do about this, if you haven't already it may be worth posting it as a question for the community?
Tommy
