Pycanvasdata vs Canva data CLI

Hello, i'm trying to figure out  the differences from python library to get canvas data called pycanvasdata​ vs the canvas data cli tool

I noticed pycanvasdata downloads the data but it seems to be WAY SMALLER compared to canvas data cli download. does pycanvasdata download the newest data available or is it downloading everything just in a smaller package?

I realize this is an old post and you likely have found some solution, but I figured I'd chime in anyway. 

Not sure if this is the problem that you're seeing, but I noticed that for me, py_canvas_data seems to only be downloading one data file per table even though many of the tables have several files per dump (in my instance, anyway). 

For example, our latest dump contains two files for the course table.  I need to fetch and load both of them in order to have the full contents of the course table, but py_canvas_data seems to only be getting the first one.
