How do I configure grade passing rankings for my institution?

Before configuring the Grade Passing Rank setting, please configure the letter grade ranking scale for each school category at your institution.

In Elevate K-12 Analytics Admin Settings, the Grade Passing Rank setting allows you to specify the passing letter grade rank value for each school category in your institution.

By specifying the passing grade ranks for each school category, you can confirm that passing data is correctly represented in your Elevate K-12 Analytics watchlists, dashboards, charts, and explorations. When you set the passing rank score for an institution, all grades that meet and exceed the specified rank count as passing grades.

Note: You can also specify grade proficiency rankings.

For each school category, enter a letter grade value in the Passing Rank field [1]. Alternatively, you can increase or decrease the displayed score using the score Up/Down buttons [2].

The category's passing rank corresponds to all letter grades with the same ranking configured in the Letter Grade Ranking Scale setting. For example, your institution may include an Elementary School category that uses a traditional A-F letter grade scale. You may specify the following rankings for each letter grade: A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, F=1. If you enter a passing rank of 2 for the elementary school category, then every student grade at or above a D is categorized as a passing grade in Elevate K-12 Analytics.
