When you save a chart in a new or existing data exploration, you can create a repeating chart. A repeating chart automatically generates individual charts for each item within a category. You can quickly generate charts that display the same metric for each school, subject, course, etc., at your institution.
Saved charts, including repeating charts, display in your Elevate K-12 Analytics Visuals library. You can view repeating charts in a dashboard. When you add a repeating chart to a dashboard, the chart appears multiple times on the dashboard, once for every value in the category you selected. You can also publish repeating charts, send them to others at your institution, and customize their display. Learn more about working with charts in Elevate K-12 Analytics.
Open Data Explorer
In the Navigation Menu, click the Data Explorer link.
Open Exploration
In the Yours section of the Explorations menu, click a category link [1]. Then click the name of an exploration [2].
Note: You can also open an exploration from a chart or scorecard. Learn more about accessing the Data Explorer in Elevate K-12 Analytics.
Select Exploration Chart
In the exploration, select the chart you want to save [1]. Then click the Tools Menu icon [2].
Note: You can save only one exploration chart at a time. However, there is no limit for the number of charts you can save from any exploration.
Create Chart
In the Explorer Actions sidebar, click the Create Chart link.
Save Repeating Chart
Enter a name for the chart in the Chart Name field [1]. Then click the select category link [2].
Select Category
In the Select Category window, the data categories display. You can refine the category list to display your recent or frequently selected categories [1], or search for specific categories [2].
By default, the Select Category list only displays applicable categories. To view all filter options, deselect the Show only categories that apply to all selected metrics checkbox [3]. To view hidden categories, click the Show hidden categories checkbox [4].
To select a category for your data exploration, click the category type [5], and select a category [6]. Then click the OK button [7].
Note: Some categories cannot be used for a repeating chart, and you are not able to select them.
Save Chart
Verify the selected category [1]. Then click the OK button [2].
View Saved Chart
Saved charts display in the Visuals page [1]. Click the Created by You category [2]. Expand the Charts folder [3] and view the chart name [4].
To view the repeating charts, you must add the repeating chart to a new dashboard or an existing dashboard.

After you add the repeating chart to a dashboard, view the chart repeated for each category item.
