In Elevate K-12 Analytics, you can view an explanation for any chart in a data exploration. Chart explanations include a description of the metrics displayed and any applied categories or filters. You can also view chart configuration details, including breakdowns for your selected metrics.
Open Data Explorer
In the Navigation Menu, click the Data Explorer link.
Open Exploration
In the Yours section of the Explorations menu, click a category link [1]. Then click the name of an exploration [2].
Note: You can also open an exploration from a chart or scorecard. Learn more about accessing the Data Explorer in Elevate K-12 Analytics.
Select Exploration Chart
In the exploration, select the chart you want explained [1]. Then click the Tools Menu icon [2].
Open Chart Explanation
In the Explorer Actions sidebar, click the Explain link.
View Explanation
View the chart explanation, including a description [1], configuration details [2], and any applied filters or categorizations [3]. To return to the Actions menu, click the Back arrow [4].
