Document Title Change for Canada > Ontario Curriculum > Language (2023)

The English Language Arts standards for elementary grades in the Ontario Curriculum are titled Language, but the standards for secondary grades are titled English. In order to include both elementary and secondary standards within the same document, we updated the document title from Language to Language/English.

How will this change impact the standards data?

The document title has had the following change:

• Old Title: Language
• New Title: Language/English

How will this change impact alignments?

Any existing alignments between assets and standards will not change.

When is this change taking effect?

We made this change during the week of January 22, 2024.

You may want to update your version of the standards to reflect this change.
