I initially used my primary email address to try to enroll in a course. I received my invitation however after I resetting the password very carefully I could not login. I tried resetting it multiple times and still could not login.
Error messages were displaying suggesting to check username and password as well as asking if I have an account with an institution. I don't think I do.
I ended up having to use a different email address (the one I'm logged into to post this). The instructor removed my first email address account and added me using the second email address. I'm able to access the course now.
Can the first account associated with jimpresley63@gmail.com be deleted? I would like to be able to use that address for future courses.
Thanks,
Jim

Hey @jimpresley63 and @ryan_corris ,
With the free version of Canvas (since it isn't tied to a specific institution), the only admins that have control over the instance are certain Instructure employees that play a role in managing the free for teacher instance. While I will forward this request to them, for the time being, do you think you could register with a different email, such as a school-provided email address? Free for Teacher also gives you the option to login with other providers such as Google and iCloud directly without making a new username / password, I wonder if that would work for you too?
All the best!
Noah
Hey @jimpresley63!
You will need to contact the Canvas admin team at the institution where the course is hosted. Every institution has their own instance of Canvas and their own Canvas administrators. They would be the ones who would be able to answer if your first account can be deleted.
If you do not know how to contact the Canvas admin, I would start by checking with the course instructor.
Good luck!

Thanks Noah! Yes, I used a different email address for this course. I'll check out the login via cloud providers too. Appreciate you passing it on to the admins to delete.
