We have some students that still have classes from 2 & 3 years ago still showing up for them. As and admin, I can't figure out why. Any suggestions for what I'm looking for to close out the classes for them?
Thank you!
Hello there, @Barnes15 ...
As a Canvas administrator, I'm not sure if this is exactly what you are looking for, but here's a Guide that might help:
How do I conclude a course at the end of a term as an admin?
Keep us posted if this helps at all...thanks!
The conclude course is not available when I open the course following the directions on that post. Any other suggestions?
@Barnes15 ...
Are you using the Free For Teacher (FFT) version of Canvas, or does your school have a paid Canvas instance that you are using?
Hi there! If you don't have the conclude option, I would recommend changing the course end date to yesterday and it should remove it from students dashboard. I would recommend selecting the option to restrict students from viewing the course after the end date, instructions for which are also listed in the linked guide.
Also, if it is only appearing on the dashboards for some of the students who took the course, it may be that the student(s) favorited it, so it is staying on their dashboard. I would suggest checking to see if it may be as simple as unfavoriting the course for them!
