[ARCHIVED] Find out the I.P. of a students login

Is there a way to get the canvas data that would show the header information of an email that was sent from a student to an Instructor? The reason I am asking this is that someone hacked my account login and said some terrible things to two of my ex Professors and now I am facing being expelled for this.

This is just Wrong. with the information, I can prove it was not from my computer or smartphone.

 @mjsumaya1 , as a student you wouldn't have access to this type of information (IP address) in Canvas, but the Canvas Admins at your school would. My recommendation is to contact Canvas Support at your school and talk to them about this. If you're not sure how to do this try clicking the Help link in Canvas and Report a Problem. We can't help with this here because this is the global Canvas Community of all users and we don't have access to school or student specific information. 

I will say however that just seeing that it wasn't your normal device or IP address is not necessarily proof that you didn't do it. It might add credibility to your case, but it's not the smoking gun that would prove your innocence.
