@KevinMeredith Will this be a feature option and be able to be tested during a release notes period?

I just received information that is now available to us.  And, thankfully, they let the LTI tool be an opt in versus what happened with Lucid.

I thought the accompanying video would be geared more to how exams and assignments work instead of writing an AI driven letter of recommendation for a student.   Hopefully there will be more forthcoming, soon.

I'm excited about this new tool and I hope our faculty will be too, once we're able to wrap our heads around it and provide some training sessions.

receiving a page error and can't see the video or content after the first paragraph.

We are using it and it doesn't feel much like a higher ed tool, but instead more like a K-8. I was really expecting a deeper integration. Is Khanmigo only present in the Course navigation to provide an iframe to what you can do at the Khan Academy already, or should it have more access to course data and be present in the RCE and as a companion tool for assessments? Right now, it feels completely disconnected from my workflow in developing Canvas resources, assignments, and quizzes. If I copy and paste content that has generated, it doesn't even follow Canvas heading structure. The content start with H1, but in Canvas, you need to start with H2. Maybe I'm missing something?

It’s fascinating to see such a range of perspectives on the Khanmigo Teacher Tools integration in Canvas—clearly, this tool is sparking a lot of conversation about its potential and limitations.

@ahosmer, I completely understand your point about the integration feeling more aligned with K-8 rather than higher education. Ideally, tools like Khanmigo should enhance workflows by integrating seamlessly with course navigation and editing tools, such as the RCE, and aligning with platform standards like Canvas’s heading structure. Your feedback about the lack of deep integration and formatting inconsistencies is valuable, and I hope the developers take note for future updates.

@John__Lane, your point about the AI-driven letter of recommendation video is interesting—it does seem like a feature geared toward specific scenarios rather than broader academic tasks. For broader adoption, it might be worth exploring resources like free video lectures that can complement the tool’s features, particularly for higher education use cases.

@dspiel, experiencing page errors when trying to access content is frustrating. This might be worth flagging directly to support, as it could hinder adoption for many users.

Overall, while the potential of Khanmigo in Canvas is exciting, especially for AI-assisted teaching, it seems like there’s room for improvement in terms of alignment with the unique needs of higher education faculty. Hopefully, future iterations will better integrate with workflows and address these concerns.

Looking forward to seeing how this tool evolves and if there are updates or fixes soon!
